Classes:

I offer classes in smocking, embroidery, heirloom sewing and silk ribbon embroidery.   All class fees include materials unless kit fees are noted.  Classes change monthly so check to see if there is something you're interested in.   I will always try to accommodate customers if they are asking for a certain class or a  technique they would like to learn.

Please pre-register for classes by calling 513-229-7340.   Payment can be made the day of the class. 

February Classes:

Basic Smocking:  Learn beginner stitches in this class while smocking on a pleated inset.  Cable, waves, outline, stem, flowerettes, and French knots along with construction tips included in this class. 2/8  11-2  $22.00

Hardanger Hearts Pincusion:  This pincushion made with silk dupioni features a center hardanger heart in white backed with black or red silk dupioni and edged with French lace edging  2/14 11-2 or 6-9pm $22.00 

***I will be doing a series of pincushions and needlework smalls this year that incorporate different hand embroidery techniques and stitches. *** 

Pleater Basics:   Learn to pleat insets, yokes, bishop necklines, and curves along with pleater care.  2/9  11-2  $22.00

Heirloom Pillow:  This pillow of Satin Batiste includes techniques on puffing, pintucks, joining laces and entredeux.  A great learning project.   2/16  11-2 or 6-9pm  $30.00.   Machine required.

Silk Ribbon Needle Book:  This is a basic silk ribbon class that will teach silk ribbon roses, buds, ribbon stitched leaves and French knots.  A small needle book made of silk dupioni with a twisted cord edge.   2/15  11-2  $22.00 

Quilt Catch Up:   Have you missed a class or need help finishing your paper doll  quilt squares? This class will help you to get caught up and finish up embroidery and more. 2/18 11-2 Saturday .   $20 for missed class and kit.   No charge for finishing up squares.

Paper Doll Quilt:  This ongoing class will have you making one square per month of a different dress embellished with smocking or embroidery.  This is a fun project that can be put into a child's quilt or wall hanging.  2/21  11-2 or  6-9pm $20.00.  Sat 2/25 11-2
